Dedicated Beta Testers , King Tiger & Panther Ausf A finally break cover and map teasers

The BattleGroup42 team are pleased to welcome =[OG]=Panzasmurf and =[Peiper]= into our ranks as dedicated beta testers!

BattleGroup42 Mod 0.2 Alpha had too many bugs. With 0.3 Alpha due soon we've decided to take on these additional team members to help root out potential problems before they occur.
We were extremely frustrated with ourselves after the 0.2 release. =[OG]=Panzasmurf and =[Peiper]= both did a great job helping us fix the problems. Their new positions will be busy as our newly expanded team is producing more than ever.
    Good luck guys and welcome!

Meanwhile Gimli's King Tiger and Panther Ausf A have finally left the workshop and are heading to a Battlefield near you soon. See our Work In Progress page for the latest screenshots.

Gurki has released some teaser screenshots of one of the maps he's currently working on. Called Operation Citadel this pits German Panzers against the might of Russian armoured forces.

Announcement: Red Twilight Mod (Headshot Enterprises) to join BattleGroup42

    Posted yesterday on our forums:
"It gives me great pleasure to announce that from today the Red Twilight Mod will be joining BattleGroup42 as full members" - Panzaman

Yes indeed the ranks of the BattleGroup42 team have swelled to include these very tallented modders. They bring with them the full range of skills including coding, skinning, modelling and mapping.
The new members are Gurki, Haribo, Joc, Multimadman and Myoptic Zaitcev. Together they've already released one map modification and had planned their own Eastern Front focused mod. As part of BattleGroup42 their previous work will be added into the BattleGroup42 mod. One of their biggest desires is to add Hungarian maps and vehicles which the rest of the team eagerly anticipate!
To see their previous work download it! You can get their STALINGRAD Into the Cauldron map from www.bf1942files.com but watchout, it's 37Mb! :)

    BattleGroup42 Patch 0.21

Next week we will release a second patch for the 0.2 Alpha. This will introduce support for Battlefield 1942 1.4 and will cover remaining issues from BattleGroup42 0.2.

    Forums, BattleGroup42 Mod 0.2
    and Website Update!

Although things may have seemed quiet on the surface BattleGroup42 have been burning the mid-night oil once again:

First of all we now have FORUMS!!
www.bf42.com have kindly agreed to host a forum for BattleGroup42 in the Hosted Mods section of their main forums. So visit the BattleGroup42 Forum to discuss our current work, future releases and anything else BattleGroup42 related.

    BattleGroup42 Mod 0.2 Alpha
With D-Day almost upon us there's a new version of the BattleGroup42 Mod (previously known as the BG42-Teamwork Mod) waiting to be released.
Crucially all the teamwork enhancements have been retained. The BIG news is the emphasis on historical accuracy. In the 0.2 Alpha the focus is on the early war battles through to early 1943 (Kursk). Many new and modified vehicles will be available requiring a different approach to be successfull whether in conquest or co-op modes. As always we aim to keep the battles close and exciting!

    Webbie MK2
There has been a conspicuous lack of site updates this last month and I'm to blame. I've been inundated with updates and screenshots but had my hands tied getting ready to bring WEBSITE MK2 to the masses, yup you lot :) My fingers are crossed for a evening (GMT) release tomorrow to coincide with the latest mod release, it's gonna be a late one tonight!
